3 Ways to Give Your Kids a Happy HALOween

Most Christian families don’t celebrate Halloween for obvious reasons. Meanwhile, your kids sit on the sidelines, watching their school friends and neighbors have fun. This year, your kids can enjoy themselves when October 31st rolls around just by your trying a few creative hints:

  1. Let them dress up. Costumes can be cute rather than creepy. Hair, makeup, and the right clothes can turn your little people into Barack or Oprah for a day, and make for a great Instagram photoshoot.

  1. Get them active. Invite their friends over and do activities such as, carving pumpkins, making caramel apples (have cool toppings like crushed Oreos and gummy worms). Set up a candy scavenger hunt at home or even venture out to local farms that offer corn mazes and hay rides.

  1. Find an alternative to Trick or Treating. Look online to see what churches are hosting parties or Trunk or Treat events.

Your kids will have a blast and so will you. But don’t let the fun stop there!  Visit our website at www.michiganparkcc.com or call the church office at 202-526-3355 to find out about our FREE Family Fall Festival on November 5th. Kids will paint, do craft projects, and enjoy a Sunday afternoon of good food and games.
